Cert IV in Leadership and Management is the qualification employers look for in supervisor and team-leader roles across virtually any industry. It's also the natural feeder qualification into the Diploma of Leadership and Management for those aiming at senior management roles.

Within the packaging rules, yes. You'll complete 5 core units plus 7 electives. 4 of your electives must come from Group A. The remaining 3 may come from Groups A or B, or from a Cert IV or higher in any current endorsed BSB or other Training Package. We'll discuss your role and goals during your enrolment call to choose the most useful electives for you.
The Cert IV (BSB40520) is the entry-point leadership qualification, focused on the skills you need as a frontline supervisor or emerging team leader. The Diploma (BSB50420) builds on that foundation with more strategic and operational depth, designed for managers with broader responsibility and authority. Many students complete the Cert IV first, then continue straight into the Diploma to round out their qualification.
Yes, but talk to us first. Several units assess applied leadership in a real workplace, so you'll need access to a context where you're either supervising others or can demonstrate the skills practically. If you're working toward your first leadership role, we'll help you map out how to make the practical components work, sometimes that means a workplace project, a community role, or partnering with your current employer.
The standard duration is 12 months. Most students complete in that timeframe while working in a relevant role. The pace is flexible: study faster if you can, take a bit longer if you need to. Just let your trainer know what fits your schedule.
Both. Our training is delivered nationally via our online platform, and we also deliver face-to-face at workplaces across Metro and SE QLD. Many students do a combination of online learning and in-person workplace assessment. The qualification is the same either way.
Register your interest, and our team will be in touch within 1–2 business days. We'll walk you through the units, the elective options, and the funding pathways from there. Or skip the form and pick up the phone.
